About Me

I feel a bit conceited writing about myself when you’re probably just here for my games, but I feel like it’s important to make it known just what sort of gaming background I’m coming from.

I got started on tabletop RPGs in high school, sometime 6 or 7 years ago. At the time, all I knew was D&D 3.5, and even that I hardly knew since I never got a chance to play it. It wasn’t until I had been out of school for a while that I finally managed to get a group of friends online together.

From that point up until now, I’ve literally only ever played in the D20 system. A bit of D&D 3.5, a bit of Pathfinder, a LOT of a 3.5 classless variant that my group loves, and a bit of D&D 5e. However, I’ve done lots of collecting in other types of systems.

As I read more and more systems, I find myself less and less interested in playing games – though make no mistake, I love me some time in the player seat – and less and less interested in running games, and more and more interested in trying to make games. Of course, my experience making a game so far has given me plenty of time as both a player and a GM during playtesting, which is just an added bonus.

I lack any sort of formal education in… well, anything beyond a high school career where I paid little attention to any of the subjects that might help me in designing games, so most of what I do here is a very clumsy learning experience, but that’s half the fun!
